Donald Franklyn Snow, Jr., 64, of Madison, CT, passed away on February 3, 2012 after a long illness. Donald was born on July 5, 1947 in Danbury, CT. He was the son of the late Donald F. Snow, Sr. and the late Mary K. Snow. He graduated from New Milford High School in 1965, Norwich University in 1969, and the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at The College of William and Mary in 1972. He was a member of the American, Virginia, and Connecticut Bar Associations. Donald met his loving wife of 39 years, Gail, while attending law school. They married on June 16, 1973 and moved to Connecticut where he served as a captain in the United States Army Reserve and eventually joined a major law firm in New Haven. He later opened and operated his own law firm in Madison for 30 years. Donald loved his community and volunteered his time and effort to many local organizations. He was the president of the Exchange Club of Branford, founding president of the Madison Ambulance Association, served 11 years on the Madison Board of Finance, and was an active member of the Madison Republican Town Committee. Donald’s friends and family will remember him for his strong work ethic, dedication to family, and selfless generosity. In addition to his wife, Gail, Donald leaves three children: his son Donald and wife Krystal of Canberra, Australia, his son David and wife Shizuka of Madison, CT, and his daughter Allison of New York, NY. He also leaves two sisters: Susan Baumann and Kathryn Snow-Burns of New Milford, CT and brother Franklyn of Naperville, IL. A memorial service is scheduled for 11 AM Wednesday, February 8 at the First Congregational Church of Madison.
