Obituary of Adam Benjamin Christian

IN THE CARE OF

Family Funeral Care

Adam Benjamin (“Ben Jammin’”) Christian, age 30, of Ptarmigan (“never mind trying to pronounce it”) Trail, Memphis, Tennessee 38134, passed suddenly at 3:31 a.m. on September 29, 2019, which notably, would be the time he went to sleep any other day. The second of three bedroom-trophies, Adam was born February 16, 1989. Adam was a Mama’s baby, a Daddy’s boy and a Ladies’ man. He would give you the Ninja Turtle shirt off his back and still puff, puff, pass in turn. Adam graduated from White Station High School where he apparently learned something. While he didn’t live by any rules, Adam was always honest and followed the rules, at least long enough to tell authorities how those rules were crap. When Adam came in a room, it changed. It didn’t just get louder, I mean the room came alive. Adam was crazy funny, had a smile that lived on his face, and an infectious laugh. He could roast you with a joke, but you’d walk away feeling better having laughed at yourself. Adam’s fashion sense was unique like his laugh, except everyone loved his laugh. Adam kept his hair in a man-bow, which he would emphatically tell you is different from a man-bun, even though it isn’t. But when he unfurled his lengthy locks all the women became jealous, and all the men became confused. Women often tried to fight him in pool halls, maybe it was the hair, but otherwise Adam was a friend and competitor to all. Adam was remarkably smart and gifted in academics, auto-mechanics, pool, poker, golf, baseball, softball, arguing, and really everything he put his brilliant mind to. Most importantly, Adam loved and was loved. Adam is survived by his aged father Michael Christian of Coldwater Mississippi, his youthful mother Toni Roe of Memphis, Tennessee and her husband Drew Roe, Adams brother Drew Christian currently of Davison County Jail, his sister and wannabe lawyer Alex Allen of West Memphis, Arkansas and her husband and wannabe lawyer Hawk Allen, Adam’s grandparents Larry Christian Sr. of Olive Branch, Mississippi and his wife Sue Christian, by this extremely long run-on sentence, and no children we know of as of the printing of this obituary. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday October 5, 2019 at Family Funeral Care located at 4925 Avenue with services to begin at 11 a.m. All Adam’s family and friends are invited to attend. Memorial Gifts may be sent to Locks of Love, Adam’s favorite charity, by going online to http://locksoflove.org.
