Charles Burklin Torrence

Charles Burklin Torrence, age 90, of Mesquite, Texas passed away on Saturday August 31, 2019. Charles was born August 13, 1929 in Pulaski, Tennessee. He served in the Tennessee National Guard for nine years and nine months. Charles was a faithful member of The Park Christian Community Church. During his spare time, Charles enjoyed camping, fishing, golfing, garage sale shopping, and selling items on EBay. Charles was known as a loving and outgoing man who never met a stranger. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Maretta Torrence, children Rick Torrence and wife Rebecca, Melody Allen, Shonda Hayes and husband Keith; grandchildren Lachelle Starrett and husband Danny, Nathan Hayes, and Colby Hayes; great grandchildren Gauge and Zoie Starrett, and many other family members and friends. A memorial service honoring the life of Charles Burklin Torrence will be held at The Park Christian Community Church on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 11:00 am.
