Jeanne Patricia Watts Lyons Wheeler – April 12, 1932 – May 23 2012. A native of New York, but a resident of Coden, AL for the last 57+ years, Mrs. Wheeler was preceded in death by her parents, John and Amelia Watts, daughter Susan Cressell, grandson Jordan McClelland, and husband Elmer Wheeler. She is survived by her children, Donna Jean Bates (Harley Dean) – Bayou La Batre, AL, Debbie Johnson (Matt) – Coden, AL, Cindy Steenbock (Bob)- Bayview, TX, Ronald Lyons, Jr. (Janet) – Irvington, AL, Janice Roberts (Billy) – Saucier, MS, Patty Evans (Jason) – Irvington, AL, Ingrid Stepp (Mac) – Valrico, FL; step-children, Freddie Wheeler (Doris) – Mobile, AL, Connie Malone (Joey) – Grand Bay, AL, Christine McLeod (Bruce) – Mobile, AL; 21 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 17 step-grandchildren, 10 step-great-grandchildren; sister Alice Firimonte – Panama City, FL and Brother John D. Watts (Barbara) – New Rochelle, NY; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Friday, May 25, 2012 at Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. on Saturday, May 26, 2012 from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, great-grandsons and son, Harley Dean Bates, II, Zachary Stump, Jacob Bosarge, Matthew Gray, William Roberts, Josh Goff, Kyle Burnett, and Ronald Lyons, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Roberts, Brandon Roberts, John Goff, Josiah Bates, and Cody Gray. Interment will be in Oddfellows Cemetery, Bayou La Batre, AL.
