Billy Mac Nabours

Graveside service is scheduled for Billy Mac Nabours on Wednesday, September 25 at 11:00 am at Sunset Memorial Park. Rev Doc Lazarine will be officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am – 10:45 am at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel prior to the service. Billy Mac Nabours, 70, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, September 22, 2019, in Nacogdoches, Texas, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He was born in Nacogdoches on October 26,1948 to parents, Morris D. Nabours and Emma Gene Nabours Billy Mac Nabours was a lifelong resident of Nacogdoches. He graduated from Nacogdoches High School and the National Auction Institute in Bryan, Texas, in 1966. Billy Mac was a well-known cattleman and rancher. His days consisted of buying, selling, and working cattle throughout his life. Billy Mac was an auctioneer for over 50 years in the livestock and agriculture industries. He also worked as a landman for various oil and gas companies for more than 20 years. He was known by many for his gift of gab and clever personality. He touched many lives and will never be forgotten. Mr. Nabours is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sue Yancy. Billy Mac is survived by his daughter, Mollye Dahlstrom and husband Chris; grandchildren, Cassidy Dahlstrom, Cole Dahlstrom, Kaitlyn Dahlstrom; son, Mac Nabours and wife Nicole; grandchild, Zac Nabours; siblings, Jimmy Nabours and wife Patsy, Gloria Alders, Buddy Nabours and wife, Betty, Larry Nabours and wife, Tammy, Bobby Nabours and wife Paula, Brenda Price and husband, James; special friend, Sherron Thaysen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
