Willis Joseph Wells Jr.

Willis J. Wells, Jr., 72, of Cove City, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 9th, 2019. Known to most as "Bud," he will be remembered as an easy going person who could talk to anyone. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy Seabees during the Vietnam War and was a member of V.F.W. Post 11119 in Vanceboro. He was a member of Gospel Outreach Church and loved to fish in his spare time. He is survived by his loving wife, Martha Wells; two sons, Aaron Wells and Joe Wells (Wendy); stepson, Ronald Jerry Easterling, Jr. (Jennifer); stepdaughter, Melissa Anderson (Louis); brother, James Tart; as well as grandchildren, Joshua Wells, Anna Anderson, Adrian Anderson, and Ronald Easterling, III. He has been reunited in heaven with his daughter, Tina Wells. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday, June 13th at Gospel Outreach Church, followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. with Pastor John Clark officiating.
