Liz, affectionately known as “Nana” “Nanny” “Mrs. Liz” or Mom, touched a lot of children’s lives. Her joy was being with everyones children, as she volunteered at Vacation Bible School, St. Edwards School, Nativity of Our Lady Church, and with the NISH Band.
Most of all was her four grandchildren, Ivy, Flynn, Lilly and Simeon, as she lovingly referred to as “my babies”. These children were truly a blessing to me and were my four children I never had”.
Mrs. Lancon enjoyed music and playing cards. She was a member and past President of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary where she received the Lady of the year award in 1994. She was also a member of KC Council 3425, the national Association of Retired Federal Employees, Member of the VFW Auxillary Post 1982, member of the Sister of Blessed Sacrament (Sr. Katherine Drexel), and was a Eucharistic Minister at mass and for the shut-ins.
