Dr. Daniel Maklansky one of the tri-state areas preeminent diagnostic radiologists passed away on June 8, 2019. I remember Dr. Maklansky spoke with me on the phone when I got what could have been a scary test result. He calmed me down, explained why I didn't need to worry, and had me come in for a screening. He took the time to speak with me again, knowing I was in a panic and how badly I needed wise counsel.
Knowing how busy he was, I will never forget his kindness.
He will be missed.

You may not remember me. My family and I have been patients of your dad’s for decades. I will always remember his kindness and bright smile. His dedication and contribution to the community and to his patients was boundless. I am so very saddened by this irreplaceable loss. God bless his memory for eternity, and god bless you and yours.

Dear Joey and Family,
Sad to hear about your dad's passing! Will always remember his warmth and yet his coolness when it came to "problems" with
you and Jordan...especially the experience at Tufts during that summer......he was quite remarkable!!!

Danny was a extraordinary colleague for more years than I can remember. Each case together was collaborative and given the expertise that only a physician of his caliber could offer. And yet, when I think of him, the doctor is only one fraction of who he was. He had to be one of the most charming, funny, worldly, and, most importantly, kind individuals I know. After spending many GI Radiology meetings together, not only did Judy love him, but as teenagers, many years ago, our daughters Stacey and Jill were entranced by him as well. It is hard to think of a world without Danny, but he will always be here in my heart. I am so sorry for your loss, but happy that you all were lucky enough to have him in your lives.
