OBITUARY
Mrs. Dulcie Lorraine Greenfield
August 22, 1938 – May 28, 2018
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dulcie Lorraine Greenfield, age 79, who died, surrounded by her loving family, on May 28, 2018, in her home in West Vancouver, BC, Canada after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Stanley Greenfield; her devoted daughters, Sheryn Calvert, Nicola Gandossi and Andrea Yeo; her caring sons’ in law, Nicholas Gandossi and Dean Yeo; her wonderful grandchildren, Jacob, Madison, Jesse, Braelyn, Hanna and Isabella; and her large loving family in New Zealand. Dulcie was born on August 22, 1938 in Mangaroa, Upper Hutt, New Zealand and immigrated to Canada in 1968. She was the glue (known as “Gammy Glue”) that held the family together and her absence will forever be felt. Dulcie had a wide circle of new and lifelong friends and will be truly missed by all those who were fortunate enough to be touched by her generous, caring and thoughtful nature. Her legacy of a zest for life, “putting others first” demeanour, and love of entertaining with fine food, wine and great friends will continue to live on through her children and grandchildren. The family would like to thank the compassionate and skilled doctors, surgeons, nurses and homecare staff that lovingly cared for Dulcie throughout this journey. A funeral is scheduled for Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 10:00am at Boal Chapel in North Vancouver followed by a private graveside burial for immediate family only. A Celebration of Life will follow in the months to come; all will be welcome.
