Gillooly Funeral Home
Rhonda Amorette Julian, stepped peacefully into eternity on September 19, 2019 at the age of 36. She was born in Haverhill, New Hampshire to Robert Francis Julian and Julie Marie Stenson.
Rhonda’s first home was a small barn in Vermont built by her parents. She spent her early years there, developing a unique relationship with nature. She graduated from Norwood High School as the first and one of the only females to play on the boys’ football and baseball teams. In addition to her athletic talent, she became a model while in high school. She would go on to attend UMASS Dartmouth, UCONN and would complete her Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Medicine from Southeastern Louisiana University. She worked as an Athletic Trainer for Florida Southwestern State College. She was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer 6 years ago and founded the Paint Her Pink Foundation in which she devoted a significant amount of her time helping those suffering. Her foundation was written about in various publications and her advocacy raised awareness and has empowered women from all over.
Rhonda is survived by her parents, her daughter, Jada Fincher and her father Alfred, brother, Russell Julian, numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
Rhonda was a free spirit and never met a stranger. She will be greatly missed!
Friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday, September 26, from 4-8 PM at Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street, Norwood.
