Obituary of Louella Bolt
Louella, age 88 of Oklahoma City passed away May 12, 2019. She was born February 15th, 1931 to Earl and Geraldine (Ables) Parker in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Louella attended Seminole High School, and later in life earned an Associate’s degree from Rose State College. She worked briefly for Southwestern Bell before marrying Jack Bolt (who predeceased her in 2008), and becoming a fulltime homemaker. They lived in many places as part of Jack’s U.S. Air Force career, where she was active in the base Protestant churches, at times serving as president of the protestant women organization, and as superintendent of the Sunday school and vacation bible school, where she also frequently taught classes. In her later life Louella was a member of the First Baptist Church of Midwest City, participating actively in adult religious education. Louella is survived by her three children: David Bolt and his wife Sue of Tempe, AZ; Deborah Terlip and her husband James of Edmond, OK; and Dianna Bolt and her husband Michael Arnold of Berkeley, CA; and, by three much beloved grandchildren: Daniel Terlip, Jennifer Terlip Burget and her husband Blake Burget, and Nathan Bolt. Louella was a dedicated daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, who enjoyed classical music, created exquisite embroidery work and quilts, and loved trees, flowers and gardens. She was an avid reader with wide ranging interests throughout her life, as well as being a sociable soul and gracious hostess. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 18th, 2019 at Bill Eisenhour NE Chapel with interment to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens.
