Richard Joseph Fleming, 86 year-old resident of Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away May 13, 2019 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born January 25, 1933, he was a longtime Tech Sgt. in the U. S. Air Force and had retired from the U.S. Air Force. He spent his childhood years in the Westminster, Pennsylvania area before joining the Air Force. Richard loved old history and searched for old towns and homesteads. He was a ham radio operator talking to folks all over the world. Richard also enjoyed CB Radio, fishing and camping, and was an avid reader who kept all of the books he had read. Preceding him in death were his wife and one son. Survivors include five sons, Tom and his wife Lisa Fleming of Oklahoma City, OK; James and his wife Candy Fleming of Midwest City, OK; Bryan and his wife Tammy Fleming of Kansas City, MO; Francis Fleming of Midwest City, OK; and Edward and his wife Xeta Fleming of Fairfax, Virginia; 10 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd St., Oklahoma City, OK 73141 with burial to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens in Midwest City, Oklahoma.
