Tommy L. Huff

Tommy L. Huff was born March 24, 1948 in Kearney Nebraska and passed away on Friday, August 30, 2019 at his home in Olathe, Kansas. He graduated from Crooked Oak High School in Del City, Oklahoma. Tom served in the United States Army and is a Vietnam Veteran. He retired from Jack Cooper Transport and enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing music and was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He also loved riding his motorcycle and being a member of the American Veterans Motorcycle Club. He was preceded in death by his Father, Earl M. Huff, his Mother, Larita (Zimmerman) Kelsey and younger half-brother Ricky Stoppkotte. Tom is survived by his wife Rosa Elaine (Darling) Huff, married on September 8, 1970 and three children, Dorinda Lanier, Allan Lanier and Tammie (Huff) McElroy and Timothy McElroy. In addition, 7 grandchildren, Mathew and Lindzey Ming, Alex, Jacob and Max McElroy, Bradley Lanier and Megan Clark; and 7 great-grandchildren. Tom is also survived by his brother Dennis and his wife Leora Huff of Abilene, TX, half-brother Randy along with his wife Bonnie Stoppkotte of Grand Island, NE; two half-sisters Rhonda Holt of Woodriver, NE and Lori Garrison along with her husband Tom of Wilmington, NC. There will be a Celebration of Life held on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 1pm – 3pm at the VFW Post 7397, 9550 Pflumm Road, Lenexa, Kansas.
