Mary Ann Sheldon

Mary Ann Sheldon, 86, passed away Sunday July 14, 2019 in the A.O. Fox Nursing Home. She was born August 9, 1932, in Leigh, NE, the daughter of the late William and Frieda (Groteluschen) Kuhr. Mary Ann married George W. Sheldon March 15, 1952 in Delhi, N.Y. She lived on the family farm with her husband in Otego. Mary Ann enjoyed bingo, gardening, puzzles, and Christian music. She also loved to babysit especially her family members. She was also member of the Otego Christian Church. She is survived by her children, Betty Lou Constable and Jeff of Norwich, Renata Talbot and David of Otego, David Sheldon of Otego and Kenneth Sheldon of Otego; her brother James and Joyce Kuhr of Vestal; her sisters in law, Louise Kuhr of Arizona, Beverly Kuhr of Wells Bridge, Irmabelle Sheldon of Otego and Ruth Barkewitz of Oneonta; her loving grandchildren Gregory and Elizabeth Constable, Timothy and Laura Talbot and Seneca Rose Sheldon; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary Ann was predeceased by her husband George W. Sheldon as well as her brothers Richard Kuhr and William Kuhr. A graveside committal service will be held Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 2 PM in Otego Evergreen Cemetery, with Rev. Bob Thompson, Pastor of the First Christian Church, officiating A service to celebrate the life of Mary Ann will be held August 10, 2019, at 11AM in the First Christian Church, 704 Co Hwy. 6 Otego, N.Y. Memorial Contributions may be made to Otego Evergreen Cemetery, 307 Mill Creek Road, Otego, N.Y. 13825 in Mary Ann’s memory.
