Obituary of Ella Faye Bean
Ella Faye Bean, 83, passed away at her home in Pelham Monday, June 10, 2019 surrounded by her family. Faye was born December 18, 1935 to Mattie Lou Tisha (Gant) and John Wesley Boyer. Faye was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Retired Army MSG Charles William Bean; son, David Rhett Bean; her parents; brothers, Homer Gomez Boyer, Clinton Dewitt Boyer and Sherman Alvoid Boyer; and sister, Mary Doris Hagel. She is survived by her son, Paul Wesley (Lorrie) Bean of Pelham; sister, Tawanah Lee Kimble of Harpersville; brother, Ralph Allen (Bobbie) Boyer of Clay; granddaughters, Jessica Lynn (Jonathan) Sims and Kelsey Ann Bean; a young man Faye and Charles helped to rear, Nichols Sillery, of Louisiana; great-grandchildren, Seth David Hamilton, Lidia Faye Sims and Penelope Ann Sims, all of Pelham; and a host of nieces and nephews. A faithful servant to the Lord, Faye was a long-time member of the Oak Mountain Independent Church in Pelham. She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and a friend to many. She loved to cook and for over 40 years was host to family and friends for an annual Thanksgiving Day event. Visitation will held at Southern Heritage Funeral Home from 6-8PM Wednesday, June 12, 2019. Funeral services will be held at Oak Mountain Independent Church at 11 AM on Thursday, June 13, 2019 with Brother George Golden presiding over the service. Burial will be held at the Pelham Cemetery following the service. Pallbearers will be Tony Carter, Chase Lang, Paul Lang, Vince Lang, Randall Martin and Jason Franklin.
