Obituary of Muriel (Mutton) McRae
Born the 14th of February 1911 - Died the 8th of August 2018 Muriel (Mutton) McRae, cherished wife of the late Rev. Roderick McRae. Loving step-mother to the late Joyce Ducette(Norman) of Kingston, much loved grandmother to Dianne Kingdon (Robert) of Brantford, Doris Benson (Peter) of London and Donald Ducette of Kingston. She will be sadly missed by her 7 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. Survived by 25 nieces and nephews through four generations, including Shirley (née Mutton)Tobin, Harry and Barbara Mutton (née Elston). Predeceased by her brother Fred, sisters Marion, Helen, and Hazel Mutton. Muriel was a school teacher, she taught in one-room schools for 16 years in the Marmora Madoc and Colborne area. From 1946 until 1960 she taught at the Prince of Wales school in Peterborough, where she was known as Miss Mutton. The family will receive friends at EMMANUEL UNITED CHURCH, 534 George Street, on Saturday, August 18th from 10 am to 12 pm. Followed by a Funeral Service at 12 p.m. Interment at Shiloh Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations, to Emmanuel United Church would be greatly appreciated by her family. Arrangements entrusted to COMSTOCK-KAYE Life Celebration Centre.
