OBITUARY
Margaret Anne Wallace
IN THE CARE OF
First Memorial Funeral Services Burkeview Chapel
Margaret Anne Wallace (nee Carmichael) passed away peacefully in Port Coquitlam June 4, 2018 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's. Margaret followed her heart from Edmonton to Vancouver, B.C. in 1991, where she resumed her profession as a physiotherapist, working 17 years at Delta Hospital, and tended to her rooftop garden with her beloved cats. Alzheimer's took many things from Margaret, but it never took her grace, stoicism or the love she had for her family, which she expressed, even in her final days. She will be remembered, not for what was taken, but for her elegance, talent for cooking, baking, sewing, decorating, modest perfectionism, and gentle nature. She will be sadly missed by her two daughters Andrea and Heather Wallace, granddaughter Hannah, and grandsons Arden, Garnet and Tate. Also mourning her passing are her eight younger siblings, Barbara Weber (Joe) , Mary (Ron Phillips), Donald (Georgina), Betty, Robert (Linda), John, Aileen Belke (Gerry) and Dorothy (Dwayne Kelly). This peaceful soul was predeceased by her loving parents Mae and Donald Carmichael, as well as her Aunt June, with whom she shared a passion for nature and birds. A private celebration of life will be held in Edmonton. Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
