Richard DeCesare

Richard D. DeCesare, 64, passed away June 16, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Deborah (Ondresek) DeCesare; son of the late Edward and Anna Marie (Izzi) DeCesare; father of Jessica A. Perez and Joseph E. DeCesare; grandfather of Miguel Richard Perez; brother of Edward A. DeCesare and JoAnn Donahue and her husband Bruce; uncle of Stephen Izzi who he mentored, Brian Donahue, Heather Palumbo, Bethany Dumas, and Katherine Baptista. Richard was a floor sander working with his dad in the family-owned Victory Floor Surfacing on Ledge Street in Providence. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed spending time with his loving family. Visitation Wednesday 5-7 p.m. with his funeral on Thursday at 9 a.m. from the Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins Street, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
