Sparkman Funeral Home & Cremation Services
Catherine Louise Tittle, of Plano, passed away at the age of 87 on Tuesday, May 14, 2019. Funeral services will begin at 10:00am on Saturday, May 18 at Sparkman Funeral Home Chapel in Richardson, Texas. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery.
Catherine was born on February 20, 1932 in El Dorado, Arkansas to Abraham and Ann (Rushton) Zwahlen. She is preceded in death by her parents, Abraham and Ann; her step-father, Elmer Cain; her husband, Robert Tittle; her baby boy who passed away at birth; her brother, Charlie Cain; and her son-in-law, Lee White. Catherine answered to a variety of names. She was “Catherine” to many, “Mom” to four girls, and “Meme” to six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.
Catherine had a huge personality and true zest for life, making it her personal mission to elevate those around her. Her uncanny wit was quite entertaining, and those memories will serve us well as we adapt to life without her. Catherine had a servant’s heart. Even as her health declined she never failed to ask if there was anything she could do for you. In her final days she amazed doctors and nurses, family and friends by her resiliency. She had the strength to hang on for those of us on earth whom she loved so dearly. In the end she had the courage to say goodbye, for there was so much joy waiting for her in heaven.
Catherine is survived by her daughters Cathy White, Becky Tatum, Jenny Quinn, Cindy Savant and their respective families; her sister, Annette Buatt; and her brother, Don Cain.
“Well done, good and faithful servant” Matthew 25:21
