Wilma S. Stroot

Stroot, Wilma S. age 94 passed away on September 29, 2019. Beloved wife of 62 years of the late Donald H. Stroot. Loving mother of Sandra (John) Skroska. Loving aunt of Vickie (Paul) Mahan, Miriam (the late Dale) Mahan, Tony (Carol) Hahn and the late John (Patty) Hahn. Grandmother of Cindy (Bill) Moeller and Sara (Lloyd) Brown. Dearest "GG" of Joey, Lauren, Grace, Olivia, Emma and Maria. Loving aunt of Jim (Carla) Shaner. Dear sister of the late Lela (the late Brownie) Bays. Dear sister-in-law of the late Margie Stroot, the late Doris Hahn and the late Lorraine Stroot.
Wilma was an avid quilter and was well known for her scrubbers and green beans. She found much joy in fishing and gardening. Wilma was always serving in her church whether it be teaching Sunday school, playing Mrs. Claus during Christmas, quilting projects or cooking in the kitchen. She also devoted much of her time to helping the VFW with fish fry's, Bingo and working in the office.
The family will receive friends at Church of the Shepherd, 1601 Woodstone Drive, St. Charles 63304, on Wednesday, October 2, from 10 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made in Wilma's memory to Thoman-Booth Post 338 American Legion Auxiliary, 9655 Midland Blvd. Overland, MO 63114. Please share condolences at www.alexanderstlouis.com.
