Ora Luevilla Evans

Ora Evans, 82, of San Angelo, went to be with our Lord & Savior on Wednesday, June 26, 2019. Ora was born October 31, 1936 in Waters Park, Texas to Walter and Thelma Shields. She was a loving wife and mother. She is the 2nd born of three children. Proceeding Ora in death are her parents, son Reginald Evans, and brother Lawrence Shields. She was united in holy matrimony to James Evans on August 30, 1956. Ora graduated and retired from Blackshear where she was a secretary for over 30 years. Her Leopard Pride led her to meet many friends and associates. . She loved working with children and was a pillar of the San Angelo Community. She accepted christ at an early age and was a member at Alexander Temple C.O.G.I.C. She became a member of San Angelo Greater IME Church under the direction of Pastor Joseph Suiters where she served for 30 years. She loved her church and the Ministry of Music. She was a dedicated member and was active in all auxiliaries of the church. Pastor Joseph Suiters and wife First Lady Gracie Suiters were like family. She leaves to cherish her memories: Husband James Evans of San Angelo, Texas, 3 children Tony Evans of San Angelo, Texas, James Earl Evans and wife Erie of Cedar Hill, Texas , Gregory Evans of Garland, Texas, Grandchildren La Shauna Evans of Euless, Texas, Ashley and husband Nicholas St. Romain, Jade & Jennifer Evans of Garland, Texas, Timothy Brooks of Cedar Hill, Texas, Anthony II and Marcellis Evans of San Angelo, Texas, great-grandchildren Zamauryon Kendricks and Zamora Laws of San Angelo, Texas, Tori Brooks of Dallas, Texas, and Bryson Evans of Garland, Texas, and Brother Clyde and wife Ruthie Shields of Huntsville, Alabama, Aunt Mary Hayden of Austin, Texas and Virginia and husband George Epps, and Uncle Milton Black of Midland, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
