The oldest sibling to Carl (Mona) Bates of San Antonio, Julie (Nelson) Boehme of Rio Medina, and Patrick Bates of San Antonio. Beloved Cousin of James Bates of Floresville and Elaine (David) Lawler of Bastrop. United in marriage to Linda Sue Harper on January 16th 1976 in San Antonio Texas. Loving father of Brittany (Kevin) Wiatrek of Falls City, Texas and Miranda (Roger) Williard of San Antonio. Beloved grandfather of Kevin Scott, Allison, Lukas and Jack Wiatrek, Kate, Jonah, and Holden Williard. Remembered by family and friends as a dedicated family man and true friend.
