Frances Torres Tafoya

Frances Torres Tafoya was born on March 7th, 1931 in Wasco, California to Maria and Arcadio Torres. In her youth she worked in the fields picking crops alongside her parents and siblings, whom she adored. She always described her childhood as being beautiful and full of laughter and joy. Her brothers and sisters were here closest friends and those strong bonds continued throughout her life. On April 18th, 1954 Frances married Henry Tafoya. Frances and Henry shared a mutual love, respect and commitment to each other that carried them through their 44 wonderful years of marriage. Their legacy now includes 4 generations and Frances was blessed to have been able to meet her great-great grandchildren. After Henry’s passing Frances continued to cherish life and found happiness in her children and grandchildren, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews and friends. On July 8th, 2019 Frances passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family.
