David Howard Cashin Sr.

David H. Cashin Sr., age 79, of Plymouth, passed away on Monday, September 30th. Born in Hyannis, David was the son of the late Howard and Emily (Ellis) Cashin. He was raised in Sagamore and graduated from Bourne High School in the class of 1957. Upon graduation, David enlisted in the United States Marine Corps: serving for four years as a construction engineer. After his discharge, he worked at the Tremont Nail Factory and was eventually hired by the Town of Plymouth-Department of Public Works; where he retired after many years of public service. He was an avid horseman and sometimes barrel racer. He enjoyed reading, country music, family, and the company of his beloved dog, Pugsley. David was the beloved husband of the late Viola (Colvin) and father of Kathleen Donovan of Sagamore, the late Davd H. Cashin Jr., Deborah Luiz-Cashin of Carver, Maureen Vercellone of Wareham, Valerie Cashin and Peter Cashin of Plymouth. He is further survived by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial celebration will take place on Sunday, October 6th from 2pm to 6pm at the Fraternal Order of Eagles on 39 Cohasset Avenue, Buzzards Bay, MA.
