Joseph Michael Skakun

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Joseph (Joey) Skakun of Saskatoon, SK, announce his passing on Thursday, April 4th, 2019. He is lovingly remembered by his children, Bryce (Krista) Skakun, Saskatoon SK, Dustin Skakun, Saskatoon, SK, and his grandson Cooper. He is survived by his siblings Ronald (Darcie) Skakun, Saskatoon, SK and their children Robert (Nicole) Skakun and Kimberly (Greg) Buchanan; Laurie Skakun (Tim), Florida, USA. Joseph was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Carol Skakun. Joey was born in Wakaw SK and raised in Saskatoon SK. After finishing his schooling he was married to Joanne (Serafini) and had his two sons. He was a proud father, brother, son, and farmer. Joey had an extensive background in agriculture and had a lifelong passion for the land. He spent years in the field as an Agent for Saskatchewan Crop Insurance, always looking out for his fellow farmers. When he wasn't at work, you could find him in the shop, or planning an adventure for his boys. Joey will be laid to rest at Alvena Farms Cemetery (St. Mary's Church), Alvena, SK, on Friday, April 19th, at 11:00am.
