His many professional accomplishments included designing and developing irrigation systems throughout southern Saskatchewan, overseeing bridge construction, designing and providing water services to communities, and preventing major flooding. He married Joyce in 1951 and they enjoyed an active life together in Swift Current. Murray watched and played many sports and played semi-professional ball.
