Qian Ying Chen

Dr. Qian–Ying Chen was born in the village of Zhongli, township of Doushan, Taishan County, Guangdong Province in China. She passed into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on October 18, 2018. Left to cherish her love and memory are her husband Ye-Cheng, daughters Hong-Ming (Gui-Rong), Hong-Zi, Hong-Ling (Tim) and Ruby (Ken); grandchildren Thomas (Kolly), Livia, Beryl (Quy) and Garson (Jessica); and great-grandchildren Fiona, Lexington and Sophie. Qian-Ying worked as the chief pulmonary specialist at the County Hospital in China for many years. After her retirement and arrival in Saskatchewan in 1987, she dedicated her time and energy towards caring for her grandchildren, and assisting in the restaurant business of her daughter in Outlook from 1993 to 2010. Qian-Ying was a devoted Christian. Those who know her would remember the blessing of a life that was borne out in the service of God. Her virtues of kindness, diligence, and selflessness inspired her grandchildren to serve in various areas of hospitality, healthcare, business and environmental protection.
