Alan Harvey Eckenswiller
March 25, 1963 – July 8, 2018

It is with great sadness that Alan’s family announces his passing at the age of 55, in the St Catharines General Hospital on Sunday July 8, 2018. Alan is predeceased by his parents, Norman and Marjorie (nee. Marshall) Eckenswiller, his brother Ronnie Rioux and his sister Barbara McMillan. Beloved brother of Marvin Rioux, Gloria Rioux, Lynn Hipwell and brother in law Don McMillan. Forever cherished in the hearts of his nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. A special thank you to his best friends Tina, Roy & Marion and Freddie & Sue for always being there for Alan.
Alan loved to fish, and could often be found casting a line into the 12 Mile Creek. He worked as a landscaper and in waste management for the Niagara Region for many years. Alan had a wonderful sense of humour and welcomed everyone into his home to share a laugh.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Niagara Health System – St. Catharines Site for their excellent care given to Alan during his final days.
In keeping with Alan’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The Eckenswiller family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, July 19th between 11 am – 1 pm at HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL; 75 Church St. (905 - 684 – 6346) with inurnment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
In memory of Alan donations may be made to a charity of your choice and would be greatly appreciated by his family.
