Passed away peacefully with his family by his side, after a courageous 20 year battle with cancer. Survived by his loving wife of 44 years Barb. Cherished by sister Anne and brother-in-law Clif Wentzel. Remembered by mother-in-law and father-in-law John and Marjorie MacDonald. Much loved by brothers-in-law, John and his wife Susan and Jamieson MacDonald. Proud uncle of Kris and Trish, Trevor and Mel, Kevin, Riley and Shaylyn. Great uncle to Laurel, Claire and Cedar. Will be sadly missed by the children of his heart Samantha, Lisa and Paul, Sam, Kate, and Owen. Deeply loved by God child Tracy Brown. Faithful companion to his four legged family, Jackie, Maggie and Jessie. He is also survived by his uncle Oscar in British Columbia and many cousins around the world.
Retired after 35 years as a millwright at Ontario Paper, Brydon spent the last 10 years of his life travelling and pursuing his many interests including his train, model, gun and ham radio clubs and all things computer, especially Apple. His favorite thing of all was coffee with the boys each morning. Brydon was a member of the Masonic Grantham Lodge.
The family would like to express their deep appreciation for the excellent care by the ICU, 2nd floor staff and oncology staff during his final days at the St.Catharines General Hospital. Special thanks to Dr.Janice Giesbrecht, who was by his side during his entire journey. Cremation has taken place.
Visitation will take place at HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street (905-684-6346) on Friday January 4, 2013 from 11:00-11:30 followed by a Memorial Service celebrating Brydon’s life at 11:30a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Walker Family Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
