Joan and I became friends several years ago. I had tired to call her several times recently but didn't receive an answer. I am so sorry to learn of her passing. We enjoyed many conversations = a truly amazing lady and she will be greatly missed. My condolences to her family and friends.

Dear Kevin, Michael and Carol,
We were very sorry to hear of Joan's passing. She was very much a part of our family and we all loved her. She was Dad's friend and companion for the last 14 years. They had an incredible relationship and when you would hear them on the phone their discussions were always light hearted and fun. They both would laugh so much. Joan shared a few family activities here with us and she was a lot of fun to have around. I will always remember her laugh. She was so positive and a great help to Frank's daughters. Many times she would call to tell us that Dad seemed off and sure enough he needed medical attention. They were really in tune with each other and never missed their daily conversations. When Joan got ill she would never complain. I would ask how she was and she would always say she was getting better and make some joke about getting older. I never heard her complain about anything (except maybe the number of ducks was getting lower at the pond). Joan was a wonderful woman and I wanted you to know she is already missed and that we are so grateful she came into Dad's life and provided so much joy, love and friendship to him.

Michael, Carol, and Kevin,
Please accept my sympathy with the loss of your mom. She was quite a special lady and I'm grateful for the gift of getting to know her. I saw her face light up whenever you would call, or she would chuckle and make a witty wisecrack. You boys (and Carol) were faithful about calling her everyday (or several times a day) and I always found that endearing and inspiring. It made me appreciate my mom more, and call her more. Thanks for your example of loyalty and family love. God Bless you all, and especially Joan.

Dear Michael and Kevin,
I was deeply sorry to hear of your mom's passing. My daughter Linda and I visited Joan on Sunday, August 11, 2019. We were very pleased that we saw her. We visited with her but she just had taken sleeping pills. We were able to chat a bit before my daughter and I went to lunch. We stayed with mom until a little after 3:00 p.m. after arriving at noon. She was very pleased with seeing us. Our friendship meant a great deal to both of us and I am grateful to have known her. I am deeply saddened for your loss of your mom.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and Joan.
