Obituary of Meredith L. Vartuli
July 7, 2019 at 4:00 AM Meredith Lee (Lynch) Vartuli, born August 8, 1970, in Waltham, Massachusetts, beloved wife and mother passed away, peacefully, from her long battle with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer. Predeceased on September 21, 2004 by Quintuplets, Samantha Ruth, Anthony Gerard, Dominic Vincent, Araina Dolores, and Dante Lynch Vartuli She is survived by her husband Anthony R. Vartuli and their three children, Serena Marie, Daniel Anthony and Vincenzo James Vartuli of Old Greenwich Connecticut. Cherished daughter of Gerard F. and Ruth M. (McPhee) Lynch of Las Vegas, Nevada. Sister/Sister-in-Law/Aunt of Kristin L. Lynch of Hopkinton, Massachusetts; William P. Lynch, wife Jennifer M. Lynch, niece Gretchen M. and nephew Ronan P. of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, Jeremy A. Lynch, wife Miranda Kitterlin-Lynch, nieces MaryJane E. and MollyJo E. of Waxhaw, North Carolina, and Alexis L. Lynch of Las Vegas, Nevada. Meredith is also survived by two maternal uncles Neil P. and George R. McPhee and their families; and numerous cousins in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, North Carolina, New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Iowa, Colorado and Utah. Meredith was a graduate of Bellingham High School, Bellingham, Massachusetts; Adelphi University; Garden City, New York, and New York Law School, New York City, New York. Since the practice of Law wasn’t enough, Meredith taught Religion Classes for St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Riverside, Connecticut. And when her cancer worsened she began substitute teaching in the Greenwich School District. When she was North Mianus/GreenwichSchool Systems 2017 PTA Co-President, Meredith won the 2017 PTA Council of Essence Award for her outstanding contributions through the North Mianus/Greenwich PTA. “Nothing holds her back. She would never back out and never leave someone high and dry...she is loved and appreciated by all in the North Mianus/Greenwich community.” Even while fighting cancer, Meredith poured hours into volunteering with the North Mianus School PTA . She helped fundraise for and coordinate the purchase of a new playground for the school and organize volunteers for the North Mianus Pow-Wow fundraiser, among other efforts. Meredith continued her efforts on behalf of the North Mianus PTA and Pow-Wow fundraiser up to and including the May 2019 Pow-Wow. An avid sports fan, “Go New England Patriots; Boston Red Sox; Boston Celtics; Boston Bruins!” Meredith volunteered untold hours to the North Mianus Bulldogs, Thunder Baseball, Cal Ripkin Baseball and Cal Ripkin All Stars Baseball. She was also the Girl Scout Troop Leader for Troop 50376 for several years.
