John was born in Canora, Saskatchewan on July 7th, 1937. He worked as a miner, driller/ blaster and was a union member of LiUNA Local 1611 for 50 years. John’s hands were instrumental in building all the major dams, Site C diversion tunnels, and BC Hydro micro wave tower platforms in remote areas of British Columbia. In retirement, John was an avid beekeeper.
John enjoyed woodworking, fishing, being a family man and spending time with friends and relatives. He was a quiet and dignified man who will be sorely missed by all who touched his life.
