Justin Spenser Eagland

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our Justin. He was born at Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver and arrived five weeks premature, a survivor from the beginning. He was a gentle soul who loved animals and wanted to be a pilot. In recent years, he spoke often about settling down and starting a family. He was loved dearly by his mother Linda, father Paul and brother Nicholas (Sarah). He was adored by his aunts Sue, Jenny and Heidi, and his cousins Persia, Jozi and Luke. He had a special bond with his Chihuahua, Schnatzel. He was going to become an uncle in August. Justin's life was not always easy but he overcame many challenges. He struggled with addiction and sought peace through recovery for close to a decade. He made many dear friends who supported him through his struggles, and inspired others with his caring and tender manner. His family is so grateful to the recovery and mental health workers, nurses, doctors, police, judges and lawyers who saw potential in Justin, and never gave up on him. Rest in peace sweet Justy. We love you. A private service will be held in South Surrey later this month.
