Karen Margaret Wallace

Karen, beloved wife, mother and friend, passed on March 23, 2018 at Peace Arch Hospital, White Rock, B.C. with her family by her side. Her life was filled with a love and passion for family, friends, 20 years of devoted work with Lawrie Management and n.Wallace & Co. Construction Management, hockey, golf, arts, crafts, travel, and the health and wellbeing of others. Karen was a longtime ambassador to Canadian hockey development, serving as Secretary of North Delta Minor Hockey, Secretary of Pacific Coast Jr. B Hockey, Director of B.C. Female Hockey, Director of Canadian Female Hockey, and later served on the council that brought female hockey to the Olympics. She went onto another passion, golf, serving as Club Captain Morgan Creek Ladies Golf and Administrator to the Adam Hadwin Charity Golf Classic for the CH.I.L.D. Foundation. Karen will be missed and remembered with love by her children; John (Terri), Aimie, Teri (Peter), and Robert (Ashley), granddaughters; Jade, Sydney, and Parise, as well as Norman her life partner and husband of 50 years. Karen’s Celebration of Life Service will take place on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 1:00pm at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831 - 28th Ave., Surrey, B.C. This will be a time to share stories, experiences, and memories of Karen along with her family and friends.
