Lorne Frederic Hoskins

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lorne Frederic Hoskins, age 73, on February 6, 2019. His friend, Mike, was with him at his passing. Lorne’s family was the most important part of his life, with football and hockey a close second. Predeceased by his parents in 1958, brothers Birnie and Blaine and sister-in-law Adeline. Lorne is survived by son Russell and wife Hermina and grandchildren, Jordan, Madison and Matthew, of Calgary; his sister-in-law Margaret Hoskins, widow of Blaine, and niece, Kimberly Hoskins of Surrey who were always a special part of Lorne’s Life; brother Brian, wife Lorna, and daughters Dayna and Krista and their families; and Birnie’s family, Charles and family of Oklahoma, Kathy of Victoria, and Brenda of Beaumont. Lorne’s ‘Manitoba Family’ were very important to him and held a special place in his heart. As per Lorne’s wishes, no service will be held. If desired, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. “Always on our minds, forever in our hearts.”
