Ormond Leonard Jones

It is with great sorrow our family announces the passing of our wonderful Dad, Ormond Leonard Jones on June 18, 2018 at the age of 96. Born in Winnipeg Dec. 14, 1921. Predeceased by his loving wife Margaret in 2010. He will be greatly missed by his daughter Brenda, son-in-law Peter, his son Allan, daughter-in-law Heather, Grandchildren Jeff, Tina, Tannis, Justin, Sarah, Tyler, Meghan, Ben and 11 Great Grandchildren. Survived by one brother, Cecil in Toronto and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. Dad’s sense of humor made him loved by all who knew him, his smile infectious. Dad was a Sergeant in the Canadian Forces and served overseas. He married Margaret in 1948, settled in Burnaby, worked for London Records until his retirement. Then moved to South Surrey and spent many happy years with family and friends. A private celebration of Ormond’s life will be held at a later date.
