Patricia Doreen Fletcher

Patricia (Pat) Fletcher (nee Taylor), aged 87, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Royal Columbian Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born July 10, 1931 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and was the youngest of 2 children. As a young woman Pat came to the lower mainland, where she met the love of her life, Ted. They were married on October 15, 1950 and they lived together in the same house in Coquitlam for all of their married life. Pat loved working in her large garden, and took great pride in her beautiful yard. But her greatest joy of all was her family, especially her grandchildren. Pat is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Ted; her children Bill (Linda), Mark (Cindy), Tracy (Steve); her grandchildren Tanya (Jamie), Scott, Jason, Christopher, Brent and Nicole; great grandchildren Jake and Jordyn; and nephew Jim (Laurette). The family would like to extend their immense gratitude to the staff of Royal Columbia Hospital. We will never forget the respectful care and comfort that was provided to Pat in her last days. We would also like to thank Dr. Mike Carkner for his personal care. A service will be held at St. Stephen the Martyr Church, 9887 Cameron St, Burnaby, on Thursday, March 14, 2019, at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation. We could not have asked for a better mom. We love you lots, mom, and you will be sorely missed.
