It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear son, father, brother, nephew, cousin and friend on January 7th, 2019.
Jody was born August 11, 1968 in Charlottetown PEI to Donald “Donnie” and Jeanette (Nordine) MacIsaac. He is also survived by his loving sister Tara and her husband Glenn Colbert, as well as their boys Ryan, Jesse and Michael.
Jody’s proudest accomplishment in life was to watch his children grow into beautiful, young ladies. As a devoted and loving father, his world revolved around “his girlies” and he will be forever missed by his three precious daughters, Lauren Emily, Julia Michelle and Erin Jodi, along with their mother, Michelle (MacDonald) MacIsaac.
Jody was a family man and a proud “big” cousin to many. Jody was known for his lust for life, his tender advice and his outstanding entertaining skills. He very often became the nucleus of the family gatherings.
Jody loved music, particular Brian Adams, enjoyed all sports, and remaining physically active.
Jody attended Sydney Academy, UCCB, SMU and Carleton University where he completed his Bachelor of Commerce degree. Jody was blessed with many close-knit friendships, from his early years growing up in Whitney Pier, to those bonds he formed during high school and university.
Jody was known by many throughout the community as the owner and operator of Don Cherry’s Bar and Sports Grill, and most recently, Retro 67. The employees and co-workers of his businesses formed an extended family, building friendships that have lasted for many years.
Jody will be forever remembered for his kind heart.
Jody was predeceased by his paternal grandparents John and Emily (Digou) MacIsaac as well as his maternal grandparents Rudy and Margaret (Farrell) Nordine.
Visitation will begin on Monday, January 14 at T. W. Curry Parkview Chapel from 2-4 &7 -9 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 am at Holy Redeemer Church with Fr. Paul Murphy officiating. Interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
