She grew up with six brothers and eight sisters, Charley, Jim, Jeff called Sam, Johnny, Olen, John, Mary, Wilma Jean, Janie, Brenda, Rosalie, Omega, Kathy and Martha. She attended school in Tahlequah and graduated from Sequoyah. She moved to Dallas to further her education, working on her business education. It was while living in Dallas she met a handsome young man, he sang beautifully in the nightclub and won her heart. Together they would raise a family of three sons and two daughters, Caesar Rollice, Ramon Rollice, Dominic Rollice, Carmen Rollice Welch and Pamela Rollice Torrez. They called Dallas home for 20 years, then they sent their children to Tahlequah to attend school at Sequoyah. Louisa was very proud of her Cherokee heritage and spoke the Cherokee language fluently. In 1984, Louisa and Domingo brought the rest of their family back to Tahlequah, to raise the family in a more peaceful, relaxing environment. She worked at the Cherokee Nation in the Housing Authority doing intake. Louisa’s home was the heart of the family, and her kitchen served some of the best enchiladas, tacos, and chicken and rice. There was always room for one more at the table, because family was everything to Louisa. She treasured every grandchild, and loved keeping them close to her side as much as possible. Along with being the best wife, mother and grandmother, she would accompany Domingo to the Five C’s Car Club meetings. They shared a love of Bingo, Louisa playing and Domingo calling. When she had a free moment, she liked to read. She was a strong woman and never let anyone know if she felt tired, or cross, or unhappy. All you ever saw was the beautiful smile and her giving spirit. Even as her health began to fade, Louisa made every day the best she could. Louisa never asked for a lot, but what she gave to her family and friends was immeasurable. She always made time, she always made the welcome, she always had the hug, or kiss, or kind word. A Christian by faith, she attended Blessed Hope Baptist Church. The Lord called this beautiful soul home to her rest on October 26th, 2018 at her home, where she spent so many happy years. Louisa was 73 years old. She has gone home to join her mother, father, two sisters Kathy Brackett and Martha Brackett, her daughter Pamela Torrez in 2012, her son, Dominic Rollice in 2016, her husband Domingo Rollice in 2017, and her son-in-law, Jesse Torrez Jr. in 2014. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Caesar Rollice and wife Sue of Oklahoma City, Ramon Rollice and wife Marsha of Tahlequah, Carmen Welch and husband Mike of Tahlequah, OK and daughter-in-law, Kim Fields. She leaves her six brothers and six sisters. Louisa lives on in her twelve grandchildren, Dominic Rollice, Sammy Rollice, Gabrielle Rollice, Gracie Rollice, Rachael Rollice-Welch, Jessica Cardozo, Alissa Rollice, Marcus Torrez, Brady Perez, Matthew Torrez, Boom Rollice and Caesar Rollice Jr. She also leaves eight great grandchildren, Kyler Rollice, Lyric Rollice, Carleigh Mauldin, MJ Murphy, Timmie Murphy, Nevaeh Torrez, Jaidyn Torrez, and Isaiah Torrez, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
