Mary Catherine Thomas

Mary Catherine Thomas, age 73 and formerly of Greenville, TX passed away on August 25th in Cedar Park, TX. She was born on September 27, 1945 to the late Ralph and Lorene Mahan in Texarkana, TX. She received an associate’s degree in Medical Technology from Texarkana Junior College, and worked at St. Michael’s Hospital until 1975. She married Joseph (Jay) A. Thomas on September 6, 1975, and was a homemaker for many years. Later, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology from the University of Utah in and enjoyed working in the Natural History Museum and on various archaeological digs in UT. In Greenville, TX, she owned and operated a live herb business from 1988-1992, which showcased her lifelong love of horticulture. Mary Catherine is survived by her husband Joseph Thomas; two children, Chris and Anne-Marie; and one grandchild, Ripley.
