Mona L. Porter

Mona L. Porter 88 of Texarkana, Texas passed away September 28th, 2019 in a local hospice facility. Mrs. Porter was born November 23rd, 1930 in Harlingen, Texas, a member of First Baptist Church - Moores Lane and was preceded in death by her husband D. R. Porter and a stepson Stan Porter. Survivors include her two sons, John Parnell of Texarkana, Texas and Tracy Redden of Texarkana, Texas and her daughter and son-in-law, Johnie and Al Smith of Texarkana, Texas, stepson and step daughter-in-law, Jan and Allyson Porter of Tomball, Texas and a sister Texa Hughes of Edmond,Oklahoma. Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren and their spouses Lesley and Jim Wells of Texarkana, Texas , Paul and Nikki Parnell of Little Rock, Arkansas and Robert Redden of Edmond, Oklahoma and a special friend Junene Duke of Texarkana, Texas. The family would like to express their gratitude to Hospice of Texarkana and First Baptist Church - Moores Lane. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church - Moores Lane or Hospice of Texarkana. Memorial service will be 4 P.M. Friday, October 4, 2019 at First Baptist Church - Moores Lane with visitation from 3:30 to 4:00 prior to service.
