George C. King

George C. King, age 88 passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019 in Thornton, Colorado. George was born August 11, 1930 in Denver, Colorado to George and Amy King. George had seven siblings, six brothers and one sister: Louie, Bill, Freddie, Tommy, Jimmy, Doris, and Robert King, whom had passed in WWII. George met Shirley M. Teel who he married on July 21, 1952 in Denver, Colorado. They were married at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Denver, Colorado. They went on to have five children: Diane, Donna, Mike, Pat and Daniel. His children graced George with seven Grandchildren: Shawn, Daniel H., Stef, Michael, Tiffany, Sheila, and Caitlin. George had four Great-Grandchildren: Jimmy, Destiny, Kayla, Kaine, and three Great-Great-Grandchildren: Bentley, Otis and Eli. George owned a siding company where he was a truck driver for over 60 years. Some of his most favorite hobbies include fishing, camping, and traveling. His favorite vacations include the Rocky Mountains and Pheonix, Arizona. George was an avid Teamster and received Teamster Awards. George was a life long Democratic Party member. He was also a member of the Catholic Church for 30 years. George had lots of dogs, but his most favorite was, Candie a Peekapoo who he had for 12 years. George was loved by many. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Those who preceded George in death are his wife Shirley May King, his son Michael Allyn King and his parents George and Amy.
