I am so glad that I had the privilege of knowing Connie for all those 18 years she volunteered at Women's College Hospital and as a member of our Association of Volunteers. We worked together doing the displays for the gift shop, a natural for Connie's merchandizing talents. We always did the Christmas makeover on a Saturday and Xavier, the joy of her life, came with Connie several times. She always kept me up to date on his progress. With the building of the new hospital Connie took over the north entrance and more recently the south greeting people coming into the building and helping them find their way to their appointments. Her love of people made her approachable - and she wasn't behind a desk.
Connie and I met for lunch on many Wednesdays at the hospital to catch up. We shared books especially Alexander McCall's No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency series. I will miss her friendship.
I am sorry that I did not have the opportunity to tell Connie's family how very special she was to Women's and to me.

i have known Connie since she first started volunteering at Womens College Hospital about 18 years back. What a kind, thoughtful lady. Connie was the first to send a card of encouragement when I had surgery and on other occasions. Loved her hats. A lady of class. I will miss her greeting as I come into the hospital.
My sincere condolences to her family.

My sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Connie.

She was a volunteer at Women's College Hospital for over 18 years and I had the privilege of knowing her for 3 of those years. I will truly miss her positive spirit and attitude. She always spoke so highly of her grandson and about how much her family and friends meant to her.

On behalf of the entire hospital we thank her for everything she has done for us. She will truly be missed.

-Julia DeMaria (Coordinator, Volunteer Resources, Women's College Hospital)

You had your fresh produce from your allotment, we cooked, I ate all your baked goods. You told me about your life, first hand, and what a life you lived. You're gone but will always be remembered as Auntie Connie, my posh Godmother. Dearly missed, gone too soon.
