Giuseppe Marcantonio was born on April 20, 1926 and passed away on June 5, 2019. Da Toronto con immensa tristezza, la famiglia Marcantonio comunica la scomparsa del suo patriarca, Giuseppe. Figlio di Cesare e Carmina Marcantonio. Amato marito della gia’ scomparsa Maria Buzzelli in Marcantonio. Rispettato padre di Carmine (Geraldine), Sandro (Maria), Daniela (Graziano) e Tony (Diane). Affezionato nonno di GianPiero, Sarah, Joseph, Laura, Daniele, Alessandro, Christopher, Aidan, Matthew. Bisnonno di Harper e Quinn. Nato a Castel di Sangro, L’ Aquila, Italia il 20 Aprile, 1926. Giuseppe e’ rimasto per sempre un fiero Abbruzzese e un’orgoglioso Canadese per l’accoglienza che questa vasta terra ha dato a lui e alla sua famiglia dal lontano 1968. Lo spirito e l’anima resteranno per sempre attaccati alle sue radici Italo- Canadese anche dall’alto dei cieli, dove adesso riposa in pace. R.I.P. caro Giuseppe. Predeceased by his parents Carmina and Cesare, and by his loving wife Maria Annunziata (nee Buzzelli). Respected father to Carmine (Geraldine), Sandro (Maria), Daniela (Graziano) and Tony (Diane). Beloved “nonno” to his 9 grandchildren Gian Piero, Joseph, Sarah, Laura, Daniele, Alessandro, Christopher, Aidan, Matthew, and 2 great grandchildren Harper and Quinn. Giuseppe was born in Castel di Sangro, Abbruzzo, Italy, on April 20, 1926, and remained a proud Italian while thankful for the opportunities Canada provided him and his family. Giuseppe will be forever loved and missed by his family and friends in Canada, as well as in Italy and Australia. Rest In Peace Giuseppe. The Marcantonio Family A visitation will be held at The Jerrett Funeral home on Sunday, June 9th, 2019 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 6:00 - 9:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, June 10th, 2019 at St. Clare's Catholic Church at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
