Francis George Poirier

In Loving Memory Francis “Frank” George Poirier November 15, 1928-November 1, 2018 Frank Poirier passed away November 1, 2018, at Creekside Landing, two weeks shy of his 90th birthday. Frank was also the loving uncle of Anne Cameron (Greg Pagan), Kathy Cameron (Rene Noel), Brandon and Trevor Rainville, and Sam Pagan. He was predeceased by his parents: Francis and Lillian Poirier and was a beloved brother to his predeceased siblings: Charles, Ralph, and Rose Marie Cameron (William). He worked for many years for Hydro across Canada. Once retired, he and a friend built a sail boat together then Frank sailed alone for a short time before docking at Malibu Camp for the night. One night turned into 15 years at Malibu Camp where he found his passion and new family working with the staff and “Young Life” teens, off the coast of Vancouver doing maintenance year round. Then he found the little town of Fauquier, BC where he made many close friends, took care of the community center, Catholic Church and his neighbors. The family would like to thank Dr. Perrier and the staff at Creekside Landing for their care and compassion.
