Alma Chessall

Alma passed away on June 16, 2018 just one day short of her 99th birthday. She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Faye Rodine; sisters, Esther Rodine, Hazel (Dave) Inness, Mildred “Dolly” (Bill) Vatamaniuk; brothers, Fred (Flo) Rodine, John (Lil) Rodine, Howard (Verna) Rodine and Harold “Bud” (Dee) Rodine; husband for over 50 years, Raymond Chessall; sons, Ken Chessall and Wes Chessall; grandchild, Donald and great great grandchild, Gabriel. Leaving to mourn, one sister, Ruth Rodine, who we are proud to say is 104 years old; son, Reg Chessall; daughter in law, Janet Chessall; daughter, Donna (Frank) Daradich; daughter in law, Michelle Chessall. Alma is also blessed with 19 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. Our mother enjoyed life, she was very talented in many areas, she used to sew, can, pickle and always treated her beautiful flowers with tender loving care. She loved to write poems, letters, scrap book and was active with the Kinsmen Centre. Alma loved to play piano and played for many years at different events. She always enjoyed our many family functions. Alma loved to see the grandchildren and always gave them something good to eat, like her delicious muffins. Our family would like to thank the Weyburn Special Care Home for the wonderful, compassionate care they have given to our mother. Donations in memory of Alma may be made to the Free Methodist Church. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Free Methodist Church, Weyburn, Saskatchewan with Pastor Jody Pfeifer officiating. Interment will follow at Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Weyburn, Saskatchewan.
