Tarie Gae Kinzel

KINZEL, Tarie Gae (nee Lenz) February 14, 1957 – October 6, 2018 It’s with great sadness we announce that Tarie Gae Kinzel passed on after a brief illness at the age of 61 years. Tarie was predeceased by her mother Eleanor and is survived by her father Leonard (Lorraine); three sons and their families: Mark (Ava), Michael (Kassandra), and Steven (Rebecca); loving grandmother to Ella and Kaila; Eadie and Ezra; Sarah and a grandson on the way; brothers Craig (Judy), Roger (Brenda) and nephew Katlin (Brooke); and former husband Ed (Marie). Tarie learned responsibility and caring early in life with the passing of her mother by helping to raise her two younger brothers. Initially receiving a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, she worked as a Registered Nurse then furthered her education obtaining a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology. Her passion for helping others continued to grow, working first in early childhood development, private counselling, and crisis response. She then became involved with LivingWorks Education where she helped grow a global network of friends and colleagues whose ongoing work with suicide prevention encircles the globe. Her legacy of great faith, compassion, and courage will continue to touch and save countless lives. A Memorial Service will be held at Bethany Chapel, (3333 Richardson Way SW), Calgary, Alberta on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. A second Memorial Service was held at Yellow Grass United/Lutheran Partnership, (Yellow Grass, SK), on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
