Willmar Lorentz Petterson 1936 ~ 2018 Petterson, Willmar Lorentz, born June 20, 1936, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2018 at the age of 82 years. Willmar was predeceased by his wife Darlene; son Christopher; parents, Margaret and Lorentz; father and mother-in-law, George and Eleanor Vargo; brother, Alfred Pettersen; sister-in-laws Janice Petterson, Beverly Mickler, Gail Pettersen; grandchild Mallory; nephews, Aaron Petterson and Vaughn Pettersen. Willmar is survived by his children, Vicky Frederick, Hal Petterson (Frances Bast), Shelly Petterson (Sheldon Perry), Tammy Petterson (Bob Kovach); former son in law, Rodger Frederick; grandchildren, Mark (Becky) Frederick, Melody Frederick (Huong), Nicole (Chad) Popowich, Christine (Ricardo) Bueno, Harley, Kyle (Jillian), Lenae and Tana Ringlein, Anthony (Sinead) Perry; great grandchildren, Dawson and Ellie Otten; brothers, Melvin (Jeanne) Petterson and Glenn (Josie) Pettersen; brother-in-law, David Mickler; special friends, Wade, Duane & Susan, Colin & Kyla, Del & Lisa & “the boys”, Harvey, Dwight, John from Texas and countless others – please know you are all treasured friends. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and acquaintances from all over. Willmar never knew a stranger … The Memorial Service was held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. from Gladmar School, Gladmar, Saskatchewan with Pastor Martin Olson officiating. A Funeral Lunch and Fellowship followed the service. Interment and Celebration of Life will take place in June, 2019.
