James Franklin Godwin

Mr. James “Frankie” Godwin, age 67 of Currie, NC died at his home on Tuesday, May 14, 2019. He was born September 6, 1951 to Gordon Franklin Godwin and Susie Godwin Wells. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Janice Tompkins Godwin; a son and a daughter; five grand-children; four brothers; three sisters and two brothers by choice, Dennis Jones and Jimmy Yopp. A special thank you to our son, Jeremy Godwin, who stayed and helped keep his father at home. We could not have done it without you. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday May 18, 2019 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral and Cremation Service. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service and at their home afterwards. Military Honors will be presented.
