IN THE CARE OF

Thomson Funeral Home

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Bonnie Wray at the age of 86 at the Grace Hospital on Thursday, January 17th with her family by her side. Bonnie was born July 31, 1932 in Simcoe, Ontario to Lorne and Marion McCorquodale. Bonnie moved to Winnipeg as a young girl and later became employed for many years at the Royal Bank of Canada. In 1951 she met the love of her life, Lawrence(Lawrie) Wray and they were married in 1954 till his passing in 1983. When the children were small, Bonnie enjoyed spending her summers with her sisters and their children at her parent's cabin at Victoria Beach building lasting memories. In the early 70's, Lawrie and Bonnie purchased their own family cabin at Ena Lake, Ontario where to this day, life long memories are made. Summer 2019 will not be the same without her! Bonnie loved her cabin, her dogs and most of all, her family. She leaves behind her sons, Jeff(Suzanne)-Millarville, AB, Grant-Wpg and Rick(Michelle)-Dufresne, grandchildren Amanda Wray(Ricky Sladek)-WPG, Katie Rushworth(Andrew)-Calgary, Bryan Wray-Millarville, AB, Lornell Wray(Daniel Reimer)-WPG, Courtney Leinen(Carl)-Fargo, ND, Cameron & Lucas Wray-Dufresne & great granddaughter Jessica Stringer-WPG, sisters Carol Russell-WPG & Dawn Lykken(Glenn)-Grand Forks, ND and numerous nieces and nephews across Canada, the US and 1 nephew in Paris, France. Also greeting her, with their tails wagging were Scamp, Buttons and grandpuppy Simon.
